T is for Try Something Different...and Trust Him

So here we are coming to the end of the alphabet!! The ABCs of living simply. We have come from A looking at our Attitude… B Being Realistic, Being Content and Being Real… C Choosing Wisely and Creating Memories, D.. Do Focus on the Moment (Living Today) and last week we ended with Seek Him First. Sooooo...have any of you mastered all of the ideas we’ve talked about? It’s a continual process, isn’t it? Or....am I the only one still working at most of the ideas on a day to day basis? It sure is a day to day waking and walking with God, isn’t it?

Today we continue with T… T is for Try Something Different... and Trust Him

The externals of our life often change… they are not constant. Life has a way of changing. Just when it seems things are working out; we think we have it all running smoothly and life as we see it seems as close as it gets to simple and free-- things change. You know… the outside pieces of life may be a bit like our kids…just when we we have them figured out… there comes something new to deal with!

The one constant, unchanging thing in all of life is God.

So when life changes,or our life “seasons” change, we need to be able to try something new. You know… being flexible? Finding a different way to deal with or work with our kids… a different way to fit things in our day. A new home... new job...new difficulties or stress... a new heartache... Things can sneak up, surprise us, maybe even feel like they bite us! And we have to roll a bit with the change... adapt and find alternative ways to deal with the new situation.

But regardless of anything new we do, trusting God and not leaning on our own understanding can make all the difference! He is faithful... when others are not. He is filled with love and compassion... when others are not. He promises that all things work together for good for those who love Him... not some things but ALL. I didn’t choose my difficult circumstances in my life, but they have shown me so vividly that God is trustworthy. AMEN? I love him, don’t you?? Trust Him.
